Jack or Nacho Guapo, whichever you prefer
We have had kitty for 9 days now. We decided on the name of Jack, which seemed fun and outgoing, much like kitty himself. Allie and I liked it and kitty even responded to it (which isn't much he would respond to anything, including "thing" and "beast")
J. after lobbying long and hard for Stalin, claiming that no one has a cat named Stalin- I agreed, yes, not many people name their adorable, fluffy cat companions after homicidal communist dictators...just felt that Jack was too pedestrian for kitty.
J. came up with a Mexican Pro Wrestling persona for kitty and we should call him "Nacho Guapo!" using the loud inflection of pro wrestling promotors. Of course, kitty responds to Nacho Guapo as readily as Jack or even Stalin.
The irony of the whole cat thing is that Allie and I were desperate for a cat, and J. was totally resistant, but now kitty loves J. most of all (Just as my friend Gail predicted)

So is Jack the official name and Nacho Guapo the unofficial name? I have to say I love Nacho Guapo, but there are far too many syllables to make it practical. Jack should do very nicely. You could even call him Monterrey Jack if you wanted another nod to Mexico.

I too love both names, i guess it will depend on his attitude that day. They say that cats do pick 1 person to favor and judging by the pic. i agree that it is justin. That doesnt mean Jack doesnt love you all. tina

Perfecto! (As I recall from my dusty Spanish, guapo means 'handsome', so no wonder he answers to that.)
