I fell off the blogwagon

Hello....Hello...No, I haven't joined the witness protection program, nor have I been trapped under something heavy for six weeks. I fell off the blogwagon. I can't explain why. There are a few things.

In late August I became terribly ill and nearly non-functional, except to drag myself to work and lay on the couch and cry. That was not at all fun. I watched movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel and now I'm addicted to watching old episodes of the Sopranos. Medical intervention didn't tell me much, they did futz with my medication that I take for a pre-existing condition. I guess its helping. I'm doing better, except many days I feel as if I'm experiencing my life from behind a shield of thick plexiglass. There are some break through moments at work and with Allie.

At the end of August I journeyed to Canada to pick up Allie from my sister's place. It was good, therapeutic and nice to see my sister, and of course to bring Allie home.

And Allie turned 13! I baked many cupcakes and our famous "brownie cake" (super rich brownies with gratuitous amounts of frosting)

Yes, there she is...and she is wearing a tiara. We then hosted a 13th birthday extravaganza sleep over with 10 other girls. It was quite a time.

I'm now teaching a class on communication/public speaking/media relations. Its quite fun. I didn't realize I would like teaching so much.

The J-man, Allie and I have gone on a few hikes.

Thats about it. I'm ever so slowly clambering back on to the blogwagon...I kind of missed it and missed reading my friend's blogs.
