Not dead...
Wow, It has been six weeks since I wrote something. For anyone who still stops by, I' alive! Just working a lot and I have limited access to the computer. Allie uses it for schoolwork and also to visit a place called "My Space" where she checks the moods of her friends and they exchange e-mails in between the time she has to turn away from the computer and text them on her cell phone.
Essentially, my daughter is in contact with about 5 key friends by different modes of communication from the moment she wakes up to the moment she falls asleep. They hardly ever speak on the phone. Just text. I know these friends are real because sometimes they show up in person to spend the night at our house and eat snacks and giggle in front of the computer or huddle, (as if for warmth over a fire) over the phone reading text messages.
However, I'm pleased to say they occasionally abandon all technology and just interact or play a card or board game. That is, until they get another text message.
Anyway, must go now...miss my bloggy friends.

And your bloggy friends miss you, too!
I'm glad to know that you're OK, just low person on the computer totem pole. I'm glad neither of mine are yet at that age of electronic friends. I know the days are short.
